I am so grateful to have been nominated as Health Blogger of the Year by HealthUnlocked.com!
I started my blog in 2014 on my first day of and outpatient program to treat my PTSD, depression and addiction, and I had no idea how much love it would receive. At first I regretted sharing my life experiences with the world, but each day proved to reveal yet another follower who learned from my words what is was like to battle mental illness.
Fellow sufferers and family members alike reach out to say that my blog has helped them to see and feel what it’s like to be in the mind of someone who battles darkness on an almost daily basis – their words of encouragement have kept me going since.
I just started an eight week inpatient program for my PTSD, and I will once again be sharing my lessons along the way so that others can learn and have hope in recovery themselves.
Once again, a huge thank you to HealthUnlocked for the wonderful nomination – I am truly grateful!
