Inspiration can come from anywhere and anything. From the look in a loved one’s eyes. From the sun setting early on a cold winter day. From a message. From a smile. Inspiration can come from anywhere and anything. As a writer I am drawn to the things that inspire me to jot an idea in my journal, or to sit in my bed with these keys under my fingertips typing a story or just a line, representing a time in my life that inspired me. I had many inspirations in 2017, and I have loved sharing them with you via this blog and in my podcastΒ BrainStorm. It’s been a wonderful experience sharing my thoughts with the hope that maybe, just maybe, my words will inspire someone too.

I do enjoy the refection that New Year’s Eve inspires. How it entices this social media generation to make the best photo collage for Instagram, in order to share the memories they have acquired over the year through selfies and catchy text-fonts. I am guilty of doing the same. It’s nice to be able to review the moments that brought smiles to our faces.

I don’t like to put too much pressure on myself with New Year’s resolutions. To me January 1st is simply another day bearing potential inspirations. Beautiful inspirations that I could never even imagine. Just living works best for me. Yes, plans are a part of life, but my life lives one day at a time.

Wishing you a January 1st filled with inspirations to spread love and kindness.
